SHEMATRIX is a body of diverse and courageous women who serve as gatekeepers for the Rite of Initiation, which happens within a 3 day journey. For women, this is known as THE GIFT - A Woman's Rite to HerSelf and for men, THE GRAIL - A Hero's Quest to the Self.

We are based in Byron Bay, in northern NSW, Australia with members throughout Australia, the USA and Europe.

We came together with the intention to guardian the sacredness of this powerful form, to deeply explore the possibilites of this path of the Sacred Feminine and to make it's blessed force available to as many beings as possible. The deeply familiar 'rightness' and truth that is revealed within this form has touched the lives of many hundreds of people around the world and holds within it the seeds of possibility for creating a conscious global community living in co-operation with the Earth and all her creatures.

The vision statement that was borne of this first alchemical meeting was:

To ignite global awareness
of the mysterious interconnectedness of all life
and to cherish each individual as a gateway to infinite possibility.

This large and rather breath-taking intention has been the foundation for the evolution of a form that is a teacher in and of itself. No heirarchy, no guru, no pedestal, no separation. Whilst honouring the wisdom of many wise teachers from many spiritual lineages it is an extraordinary relief to finally find a form where there is no authority greater than the self; no belief system imposed from outside, but rather a deep space of acceptance and compassion for discovering the unique truth of who you are.

Informed by the circle, a sacred form of inherent equality, our job has been to simply show up in absolute presence, listen, tell the truth, and be humbled by the universal wisdom that reveals itself. The circle is symbolic of the sacred void, the infinite and unknowable source of all life, death and rebirth. Being in service to this space has taught us to live in honouring of life and it's natural cycles and demands a ruthless authenticity from each of us.

This reverence for a force SO much greater than individual will, or preferences for an outcome is a humbling and awe inspiring practise. Mother Nature's cycles of birth, growth, harvest, decline and death, insist on acknowlegment within this organic form and attempts to override the true period of gestation for an idea or project often come with a painful cost. It's like denying that you live on the edge of a volcano or in a tornado belt! Truly co-operating with these cycles however, often reaps rewards unimagined at the outset.

Learning to function within a collective has meant a great journey into the unknown. We have been well programmed to achieve by our patriarchal culture and undoing old patterns of 'doing it right', competing to be the 'best'and achieving 'results' at any cost have often left us floundering in the unknown, raw and vulnerable. We are returned again and again to the humble place of the beginner. Our grandiose visions for a co-operative community of loving, conscious beings dedicating themselves to serving humanity through their unique gifts, have had to be tempered in the fire of burning through our own unconscious patterns. 'Walking the talk'of co-operation, compassion and respect for differences has been hugely challenging, often devasting to long-cherished self-images, but ultimately rewarding in the beginnings of manifestation of our intention. The divine paradox that this journey reveals, is that only through offering up our most human, personal story of suffering and separation are we granted access to the divine, the transpersonal and that which connects us all.

So, for almost 6 years now, SHEMATRIX has been expanding and honing it's skills in creating and sharing sacred space with hundreds of women worldwide.
Since 1997 we have also been working with men in this blessed way.

In order to share the gift of this space to as many women as possible it became rapidly apparent that we would need to train more and more women to 'hold' sacred space and to be a vehicle for guiding The Gift and all the mysterious alchemy that arises in that space. The journey of this Training Programme has proven to be a deeper level of commitment to a path of awakening and there are now many women in both Australia and the USA who have devoted themselves to the 'undoing' this demands in order to be of service.

Pantha, Trinda, Kisha and Nirado originally birthed SHEMATRIX and together with Alima, Arlee and Ghata, now also hold the vision as 'Hearthstones'. This is the body that energetically is closest to the fire and who hold responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the work. They, the Guides and some of the trainee Guides speak in their own words what compels them to offer their service in this way.

Each has trod her individual path through many avenues of inner exploration. Her imprint on this path is unique and invaluable beyond words. Apparent in each of them is a grace, humility and ordinariness that belies the extraordinary amount of deep personal burning they have done together and alone to temper the vessel that is now offered as SHEMATRIX. Delightfully human, each with her own flavour of being, what is constant within this extraordinary network is the degree of courage, honesty and compassion for all beings, our Mother the Earth and all her creatures. Each extends her heart and prayer that you may become gloriously and without limit your full authentic self.
